A wedding day is a monumental day in a person’s life. A day that you can look back on years from now and remember with such clarity. That’s just what Polly and Chris had in mind for their amazing Richmond, VA wedding and we were honored to take part in the day by crafting their wedding film! We began filming Polly and Chris’s wedding day as they participated in Richmond’s 14th Annual Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K race. Polly and Chris liked the idea of beginning their wedding day with the symbolism of “running the race together.” While they did not do a typical first look, you could see the excitement of what was about to begin as this soon to be bride cheered and encouraged her groom across the finish-line.

After the race, Polly and Chris went their separate ways to begin getting ready. As we pulled up to the historic Linden Row Inn where Polly was getting ready, romance quickly filled the air. The natural beauty of this historic hotel was spectacular. However, this did not compare to the elegance that radiated from Polly. She was calm, collected and stunning. Just down the street, Chris was preparing in a totally different environment. The Doubletree Hotel located in the heart of Richmond was modern and stylish. Chris looked pretty sharp in his suit and tie as well!

Polly was very excited about her venue choices. The ceremony took place at Saint John’s Episcopal Church which is located in Richmond’s oldest standing neighborhood. The church is famous for being the location of Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” speech, iconic for igniting the American Revolution. How symbolic…the very location that sparked the union of the colonies was the same location that united this wonderful couple! The reception was held at Richmond’s most visible landmark. The Main Street Station, which still remains active, sits high above the streets, providing everyone with a perfect sunset view of this iconic city.

Polly and Chris danced and celebrated their special day with their closest friends and family. What a party it was! The entire day was filled with love and laughter and was truly a day I will always remember.
