Where video looks best

Sheep by the House Museum

Super unique to Middleton Place. Couples rave about it, and the sheep are always calm and easy to work with.

Under the live oak

Gives shade and the Spanish moss adds to the Charleston look.

House museum steps & parterre

Classic Charleston architecture. Perfect for couple and family photos.

Terraced Gardens & Butterfly Lakes

Terraced gardens for structure, Butterfly Lakes for water. Its a great mix for couple and family photos.

Garden paths

Shaded, quiet, and full of bright flowers. Easy, colorful backdrops for portraits.

Horse and carriage

One of our favorites: a short horse-and-carriage ride for unique shots of just the two of you. We keep it relaxed and cinematic.

Ceremony options (with sound & vibe)

Under the live oak (our top pick)

The oak and Spanish moss give shade and clean light. Plus, the steps that lead up to the live oak let you stand slightly above guests so everyone can see.

By the Butterfly Lakes & terraces

Wide, open setting near the lakes. The brides entrance is long, and gives us an awesome opportunity for different shot ideas. That said, the sun can be strong; expect a light breeze, we’ll place mics accordingly.

Cocktail Hour

Lawn behind the House Museum

Hanging Spanish moss, a lot of space, and a great view. Added benefit: Guests get a long walk (golf cart transportation is also available) to the Pavilion. They get to experience more of Middleton AND we get some really cool footage of everyone walking together.

Dinner & Dancing

The Pavilion at Middleton Place

Comfortable, and climate-controlled. A great spot for details, reactions, and convenience.

Toasts (our recommendation)

To keep audio clean and guests comfortable, do toasts where a PA is available (usually the Pavilion or dance floor).

  • Clean audio: we plug recorders into the DJ/band system for clear speeches.
  • Better experience: seated guests, a visible mic spot, and fewer distractions.

FAQ’s

How do you handle audio for vows and toasts?

Small, hidden mics for the ceremony (one on minister, one on groom). For toasts we connect to the band/DJ’s sound system and also record a backup.

Will we notice you during the ceremony?

Not much. We do our best to work the edges, keep movements slow, and stay off center so guests see you, not us.

Do you use lights during the reception?

Yes, a small soft setup so faces look natural. Enough to help, not enough to change the vibe.

Can you fly the drone here?

Yes, as long as the weather cooperates (no rain and calm winds).

How do you work with photographers?

We approach it like teammates. We let the photographer take the lead and jump in when we can. The goal is to keep the whole process seamless for everyone. We pride ourselves on doing that consistently.

Do you include full ceremony and full toasts?

Yes. Both are included with your highlight film.

How do we check your availability?

Use the button on this page (underneath the video) or click here. If your date is open, we will follow up with package information quickly.
